These splendid 1880s ceramic tiles bring an instant rush of Victorian botanical charm to any setting. Produced during the height of the English Aesthetic Movement, this set of four showcases magnificent sunflower motifs rendered in rich chocolate browns and earthy creams. The intricate line work and naturalistic design reflect the period’s absolute obsession with bringing the outdoors inside. They carry the soulful patina of genuine architectural salvage, complete with historical soot and mortar traces on their reverse, making them brilliant textural additions for a layered, pattern-heavy interior. Two-tone colour palette in rich brown and warm cream. Genuine architectural salvage with historical numbering (“34 S”) on the reverse. Wear is consistent with age and use, featuring some expected surface scratches and minor chips to the edges, as is typical with salvaged architectural pieces. The reverse sides show signs of soot and old adhesive/mortar from their past life in a Victorian home.
