C class security cabinet

Description I have had a few inquiries for refurbished or secondhand C class cabinets lately so thought I might do a short blog on them. The Australian government has a policy on how sensitive documents (and data ) must be secured. This policy has much contribution from ASIO’s T4 security division. They determine how different Govt safes and cabinets are constructed and locked. I am aware of 3 different security safes/cabinets the Australian Govt uses. A Class, B Class and C class safes & cabinets must be used to secure sensitive records based upon their importance and or confidentiality. The blueprints and other technical data for the Airforces new F35 fighter would not be laying around or found in a Namco filing cabinet. Anyway C class filing cabinets are effectively a heavy duty filing cabinet with a “pickproof” key lock. This key lock is in fact is a Bilock brand and the keys for same are restricted. There would be little point in forcing public servants and defence force contractors to lock up their papers if the key lock was of Namco type or standard lock.
