A kitchen towel set is my go-to gift for anyone moving into a new home, since people rarely have all they need, and all you need to know is what color their house is decorated in. This lovely set comes already “gift wrapped” (well, tied with a ribbon) and it is large, useful, lovely and, gray — which seems to be a really popular color right now. The hot pads and mittens match well (one gray, one striped) and are thick enough to work well — yet not so thick they prevent a good grip on a hot pan or handle. Each mitten is about 5 inches wide and ten inches long, so they should work well for any adult hands. There are two plaid and two striped scrubbing towels with plastic netting covering one side for scrubbing, I’m really loving these. There are four gray washcloths, also nicely patterned, soft with a nice texture to the weave for wiping, cleaning, and absorbency. There are two towels, one white, one gray, which are similarly patterned and perfect for drying dishes or larger spills. There are two gray plaid cloths, about the size of placemats, with a multitude of uses, including as a placemat or a cover for rising bread. There are four flour-sack tea towels, too. They are all well-woven quality fabrics, nicely sewn, with lovely matching designs, perfect for a gift for others or myself!
