This hat is huge, which is important because so is my noggin. It’s lightweight and vented and everything I wanted. My only gripe is with shipping. You can see in the promotional pics that the brim of the hat isn’t flat, but conical. It seems to be made with a lightweight substrate (feels like foam board maybe) sandwiched between layers of fabric and is stiff enough to keep the brim up. The way the hat is shipped, it is packed flat with the brim folded in half inside an envelope, so there is a prominent crease where the buttons are on the sides that I have so far been unable to do anything about. I tried pressing it out between heavy boxes, washing the hat and then using a hair dryer on it with the brim flattened out, so far no dice. It looks kind of dumb but the real issue is it messes with the way the brim hangs, tending to dip down in the front and back and raise up on the sides. I’m not going to upload a pic because you can see it clearly in all the customer pics already. Not a deal breaker though as the hat is still huge and blocks the sun. I’ve gotten it to sit close to how I’d like by turning the front down and the back up slightly. It at least keeps the brim out of my eyes and off my back. Still a good hat; maybe over time being not folded it will be less of an issue.
